The Power One PVI Central inverters are based on 50 kW inverter modules that can operate independently for improved efficiency and fault tolerance. These inverters feature high-frequency switching to reduce noise, reverse polarity protection, and easy front-panel accessibility for installation and servicing, Both AC and DC distribution and circuit protection is integrated into each inverter to reduce balance-of-system components and wiring. The 250 kW and 300 kW units have 3 separate MPPT input channels for more flexibility in array design. A 5.7" LCD screen on each inverter provides local monitoring and control. These inverters also have integrated RS485 interfaces for inverter and string combiner monitoring. The PVI-50 andPVI-100 have NEMA1 enclosures for indoor installations, while the PVI-250 and PVI-300 are NEMA3R rated for outdoor installations. These have a standard warranty of 5 years, which can be extended. Listed to UL 1741.
Power One Ultra Central Inverters
The Power One Ultra inverters are larger utility-grade PV inverters made for connection to medium voltage transformers. These inverters are based on a 350 kW building block and output direct transformerless 690 VAC. This increases efficiency and reduces the size and cost of the interconnecting transformer required. The CEC efficiency is rated at 98% with peak efficiency of 98.7%. An input voltage up to 1,100 VDC reduces losses and allows the use of longer wire runs and reduced wire sizes in the array field. Multiple MPPT input channels provide flexibility in the array design. RS485 interfaces for inverter and string combiner monitoring as well as both AC and DC distribution and circuit protection are integrated into each inverter. Outdoor rated for unrestricted use in most environmental conditions.
Power One String Combiner
The Power One String combiner provides monitoring at the level of two strings per channel. Each combiner has 20 PV string inputs and 10 monitoring channels. Each string is individually fused and the combiner has surge protection and a fully integrated DC disconnect switch. The RS485 interface includes 4 analog inputs for ambient temperature sensors.
